The most important things to note are cooldown and traits, as these heavily alter how a character works overall. By default, Karins have a two-second cooldown between actions, making them your quickest attackers by far. Dwarves have a four-second cooldown, taking twice as long to perform a single action. Elves sit at 2.5 seconds, and humans sit at three seconds. On top of this, Karin’s have a notable negative: an always-active -15% reduction to all physical damage they deal.

- Elves, on the other hand, get a -30% bonus to all magical damage they deal by default (not a flat 30-point bonus, as the description would suggest).
- While gear can augment these values, they are certainly things to keep in mind when choosing these races, including cooldowns, as these cannot be meaningfully altered.
- A Karin is less successful with high-cost, high-damage attacks and is more about rapidly acting, while a Dwarf is more about taking and soaking up hits than directly dealing damage.
- After making our character we now have to invest our 1 core stat point into a baseline stat.
